The color pink makes countless appearances in October as National Breast Care Awareness Month goes into full swing. Many hotels in the United States and around the world have joined forces to raise both awareness and funds for local charities. Some hotels are awash in a pink glow while others offer special afternoon teas, pink cocktails and healthful spa treatments throughout the month. Other hotels that are forever pink promote their color schemes in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Hotels Glow Pink
The Peninsula Hong Kong and the other eight Peninsula Hotels around the world are raising awareness and funds during the Peninsula in Pink initiative throughout the month of October. The hotels will be alight in pink and will offer afternoon teas, spa specials, cocktails, and menus with a both pink and healthy themes. A portion of the proceeds will go to local breast cancer charities in each location.
A Positively Pink Singapore Sling
Perhaps one of the most famous pink cocktails in the world, the Singapore Sling, was created at the legendary Raffles Singapore at the turn of the century. During October, proceeds from each Sling purchased at Raffles Singapore will go towards local breast cancer charities.
The Pink Palace in Hawaii
The very pink and historic Royal Hawaiian Resort has teamed up with Delta to raise up to $40,000 for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation by showing your “pink spirit.”
The Bleau Goes Pink
Fontainebleau Miami Beach will turn pink inside and out when the façade of the resort’s famed curvilinear Chateau Tower and hotel lobby are illuminated pink in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In partnership with Susan G. Komen Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, the iconic hotel will feature a Spa and Spice promotion throughout the month of October.
The Pink Lady in La Jolla
La Valencia, a historic pink hotel that overlooks La Jolla Cove, sits steps away from charming stores and restaurants. The iconic Pink Lady, know as the jewel of La Jolla, has teamed up with Komen for the Cure San Diego for the fight against breast cancer. Some of the proceeds from the Sleep in for the Cure room package and The V’s signature Pink Lady cocktail will go to charity.
